Do you travel a lot?? or don’t have access to a computer most of the time?? Then this post is specially for you..
There are many tools available for tweeting from mobile. The ones I mostly use are..
- Twitter’s mobile site: m.twitter.com
Use your phone’s default browser, Opera Mini or Opera Mobile to post your tweets. You are only charged for your WAP/ GPRS uses. You can tweet, catch on with the tweets of people you follow, add new tweople to your following list.
Cons - You can’t delete your tweet, check on the replies, search for people. - Fring: A mobile application [compatible with Symbian 8, 9.1, 9.2, Windows Mobile 5 & 6 and UIQ handsets.]
You can send your tweets directly thru’ the twitter contact in fring or gtalk twitter bot. You are charged for your GPRS/ Wi-Fi/ 3G usage.
Download it here. - Cellity Tweeter: Another mobile application. Other than tweeting you can check your timeline, public timeline, direct messages, list your friends & followers and featured people.
You are only charged for the data transfer.
Cons - Is a bit slow.
Download it here. - IM applications: Like Nimbuzz, Morange etc..
Use the gtalk twitter bot to post your tweets.
Now you might be wondering why I haven’t listed the popular ‘txt’ method. Simple, because at present BSNL West is not supported
On a serious note if your operator is supported by the various twitter short codes like the ones for US, Canada, India; you can simply tweet by sending an sms.
As for now follwing Indian operators are supported.
- Idea
- BSNL North
- BSNL South
- BSNL East
- Vodafone Essar (Hutch)
