Yeah you read it write! Vodafone started its operations in Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh circle from yesterday evening.
I got back home yesterday and was surprised to find the city flooded with Vodafone sign n billboards.
Went to the Mobile Store in the evening to inquire about it and was told that it started from yesterday and currently is being sold as the famous Red Box. It retails at 299/- and houses the sim card and some sms/talktime coupons and a watch. The numbers are in the series 917… Btw my airtel starts with it too… 9713…

I am thinking of buying a connection as I have been told that its plans are nice.. will see for a while and will surely get the connection.
Have been told that the main office is at Ashoka Millennium, Ring Road. And its customer care number is 9713097130.

First let me give you the overview as to why a call was made to the CSEB [Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board] call centre.
My elder sister was in the mood of baking cakes today, and because most of the people slept in the afternoons, she prepared the famous Banana Bread before lunch. We had planned on going out to shop at Coupon Mall after lunch. But our Church Pastor turned up and was in deep talks with mom and brother. After that the rains started pelting heavily, and as a precautionary procedure, the CSEB people turned off the power. Now, I had asked her to make my favourite Chocolate Sponge cake and we were scheduled to make it in the evening. But because of the frequent power cuts, we were unable to do so.
So sis thought of calling the call centre and asking if they were thinking of turning off the power again as the rains were still pretty heavy. Here is what the talk was like..
Sis: Hello, is this the CSEB call centre?
CC: Yes madam.
Sis: Is the CSEB thinking of turning off the lights again?
CC: Mam, where is your house located?? Hasn’t the power resumed yet??
Sis: This and this area. The power is back. But we’ve got some urgent work to do.. like bake cakes and all.. so I just wanted to know if the power will go out again…
CC: hehe mam.. How can we tell this..
The call ended there.. and we peeps had a very good laugh. The thing that is bugging us is that if this incident gets published in some newspaper
or the guys turn up in the house tomorrow to eat the cake ‘lol’
As for the cake, we haven’t made it yet. Will prepare it tomorrow..

It sure does. Big Time!
As per the university norms, the 4th semester students have to undergo technical/industrial training of 40 days or 6 weeks. I completed the first 15 days @ BSNL Fafadih exchange, learning about EWSD TAX department. To take the next set of training some of the guys visited MY FM Radio Station which is near Kachahri Chowk. The Person in charage there, said that they could provide us with 30 days certificate.
Now we entered the Station today and were made to sit in their conference room for almost 2 hours, after that the PiC came and asked us how many people were considering doing training there and what all were our expectations..
We answered to the point that, we where there just for the Certificates and nothing else. Because this Certificate along with the Report and Presentation carries 40 marks which will be added up in the 5th semester exams.

It was Feb 13th evening and I was lying in my bed in the hostel and checking mails in my phone thru’ the Gmail Application.. I saw a mail from a friend Shekhar, sending a screenshot as an attachment and the subject said your photo’s on Y! OurCity. On checking out the small pic that opened in my phone, I immediately jumped out of bed and went downstairs to seek permission from the warden to use her computer. On her nod I fired up Google and searched for Yahoo! Our City. Went to the site and clicked on Raipur city link. Was amazed to see photos of me, mom there… The photos featured there were from Flickr and had a Raipur tag and were thus featured in the home page.
Check the screenshots here

Thank You Shekhar for noticing my photos there and thanks to Yahoo! for putting them up in the first place
God Bless All of you!! muah!
