How can you Maintain / increase your Karma in Plurk.com
It must be one question that is going through every Plurkers mind who is so addicted to Plurk. Right now the active user base is low compared to Twitter.com but it has got some die hard plurkers and to be in Top Lists is easy. Here are some tips from me to maintain or increase your karma.
- * Plurk constantly, its not only just numbers that increase your karma its more of being active. You dont have to get big plurk counts to maintain your karma. I plurk around 100+ including plurks + Responses in a day and the entire karma change for a single day can be anywhere between 3-5.
- * Try encouraging people to use @username in responses that i feel can add a bit to karma.
- * Plurk sensibly rather than just spamming and increasing the counts and more importantly have “FUN”. Too much of your Fun can be annoying so always put some sense while you have FUN.
- * If you have something personal question to ask shoot a private plurk, it also adds a bit to your karma.
- * If you do not have a display picture, get one.
First let me give you the overview as to why a call was made to the CSEB [Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board] call centre.
My elder sister was in the mood of baking cakes today, and because most of the people slept in the afternoons, she prepared the famous Banana Bread before lunch. We had planned on going out to shop at Coupon Mall after lunch. But our Church Pastor turned up and was in deep talks with mom and brother. After that the rains started pelting heavily, and as a precautionary procedure, the CSEB people turned off the power. Now, I had asked her to make my favourite Chocolate Sponge cake and we were scheduled to make it in the evening. But because of the frequent power cuts, we were unable to do so.
So sis thought of calling the call centre and asking if they were thinking of turning off the power again as the rains were still pretty heavy. Here is what the talk was like..
Sis: Hello, is this the CSEB call centre?
CC: Yes madam.
Sis: Is the CSEB thinking of turning off the lights again?
CC: Mam, where is your house located?? Hasn’t the power resumed yet??
Sis: This and this area. The power is back. But we’ve got some urgent work to do.. like bake cakes and all.. so I just wanted to know if the power will go out again…
CC: hehe mam.. How can we tell this..
The call ended there.. and we peeps had a very good laugh. The thing that is bugging us is that if this incident gets published in some newspaper
or the guys turn up in the house tomorrow to eat the cake ‘lol’
As for the cake, we haven’t made it yet. Will prepare it tomorrow..

Yes, you read it correctly. With the summer closing in and monsoon fast approaching, I have been caught up with Cough and Cold.
It started off with me getting affected by the ardent heat as I was out shopping for some stuff in the afternoon. As soon as I got back, I felt tremors of a big headache. Slept for long hours and drank a lot of Aam Panna and Frooti. Thus got back to normal soon.
Next, I have the habit of taking hot baths throughout the year. Even though we store water in buckets during the summer season so that we don’t have to bathe in hot water, I always bathed around 12 noon so that the tap gave in hot water
The other day I made a grave mistake of taking bath in the water that was stored in buckets. And subsequent mistakes were eating lots of sweet curd, ice creams, and also drinking lots of chilled water.
All things combined and yesterday evening I started coughing. Woke up today to find out a feeble sound coming from my mouth i.e. was affected by sore throat too
Am drinking Black Tea now to keep my throat in check.
Hoping that I am well by tomorrow morning as I have to resume the 2 week long training @ BSNL again.
How is the weather at your place? and are you keeping well?
psst: forgot to mention that being in AC most of the time adds up to the cold too..
