I woke up one fine day in the hostel to find my phone’s memory card not being detected by the phone. At that time the laptop was not with me there. So the first thing I did when I came back home was to check if the memory card was alright.
What goes on is that the card is fine but the card reader is not.
Gave it up for repairing at the Nokia Care Center, but could’nt get it done because they would deliever it quite late and currently we don’t have spare phones at home..
So am hoping to get it repaired in late September. Till then there will be less of photos, mails..
Someone has promised me an N82 as Christmas gift. Keeping the fingers crossed
Hillsong’s ‘08 release, “This Is Our God” released a few days back and I have been listening to its songs regularly. Would like to mention one of the tracks which is the title of the blog post too… “Desert Song“. When I had listened it earlier, I loved its chorus n bridge, which goes like this.
Chorus:
I will bring praise, I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain
I will rejoice, I will declare
God is my victory and He is here
Bridge: All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship
I instantly fell in love with the song. Usually I love the Hillsong songs which are written/ lead by Female Worship Leaders and this time also there was no exception. Now, I knew for one thing that Brooke Fraser had written “You’ll Come” which has featured first in Hillsong United’s album, With Hearts As One and that Darlene Zschech had lead it in this album. I started wondering who would have sung it, and as it happened I couldn’t make out that Booke indeed sang it. It was a duet with Jill McCloghry.
And as is the case, I happen to fall sick, and landed home for the treatment. First thing I did was to start downloading the DVD as Omega Music ships it quite late in India. Was going thru’ Youtube when I came across the video blog for the song, which was more like a testimony. Must say it was just amazing to know the story behind the song and what all Jill went through.
In my life I’ve had ups and downs too.. but I am very much thankful to God that He takes me out from every situation and am victorious each and every time because of His Grace and Mercy.
On 26th June we the seniors aka 3rd yr gals availing the hostel facility were called in the management room and told that our hostel was going to be shifted on Sunday.
Me and roomie were kinda sad cos that meant we wouldn’t be able to spend the weekend @ home. Anyways the day ended with all of us starting with the packing process.
Next day after the college ended we were informed that the college will remain close on Saturday because the AICTE inspection team were to re-inspect the new college @ Bhilai – 3.
That initially meant that the whole weekend would go as a waste for us [me n roomie]
Anyways we did all our packing on Saturday, slept a lot and ate lots too.. The warden had instructed the servants to prepare special dish for us, a farewell you can say. The plain kadhi tasted good.
Now we slept pretty late thinking that this was our last night at that hostel and tomorrow we would be shifted to a totally new place, we were sad that we would be leaving the exclusivity of the room that we had.. we were the few special ones who resided in rooms that had balconies
I woke up pretty early on Sunday morning, did the chores before my roomie woke up and then read scriptures. Thanked God for the blessings the place had been to me for the past 2 years of my life.
Then finished with what was left and then waited on for the Hostel In-charge to arrive or call. In the meanwhile my roomie woke up and got busy with her packing and all. After she bathed she told me why are you still in your tee and Capri, better get dressed and wait for bhaiya to arrive. I told her that we will get dressed after the people arrive to shift us. Can’t believe that it was that the best decision that I took that day. Why?? Because no one came to shift us that day and we were stuck up there for a day again?
