Angie and the trip to mall

June 1st, 2008

Angie @ Big BazaarYesterday, mom, bhaiya, didi, me and Angie went to shop @ 36 City Mall. It was not the usual shopping trip but more of “show sis the mall” trip.

I rememeber the conversation I had with Angelina, sis’s eldest daughter before leaving for the mall.
ME: Angie, go and sleep. The mall is very big, you will have to walk a lot. No one is going to carry you.
Angie: huh.. Uncle (my elder bro) is going to carry me.
ME: hmm.. I don’t think so.. He is going along with us just to carry the bags, he won’t be carrying you.

then after a while…
Angie: Uncle, you will carry me in the mall naa?
Bhaiya: Nopes, who will be carrying the shopping bags??

We left for the mall at around 6 and were there by 6:15
As usual our shopping trip started with visiting the Globus store first. Mom bought frocks for Molly and Alicia.

After that we wen’t to Big Bazaar. Went to the 1st floor first as we had to shop for kids stuff. Asa I landed in bro told me to tag along a trolley. I told Angie to sit in it.. but she had some other plans.. We were not able to keep a track of her considering the store had lot of attractions for a 3 yr old gal. After running around for a while. She showed up alongside bro and asked him if he could tow her in the trolley. He was more than happy :P

We had a great time @ the Chamosa centre and the food mart too.. Me had great fun driving the trolley, even won the complimentry gift at the “Chal Meri Trolley, Ramp Mein Chal” :D

Got back home around 9pm. Angie was pretty much exhausted but did have a great time there..

The Great Indian Shopping Day…

January 26th, 2008

I know most of you guys must have had worst shopping experiences.. but mine is worst raise to infinity… Yeah.. it sure is that bad..

Big Bazaar had Sabse Saste 3 Din offer at almost all of its outlets across the country. As we had to buy infant stuffs for my Elder Sister, we went to shop their.

We (mom, bro & me) started from home @ about 4pm in an Auto Rickshaw. We reached VIP Square in roughly 10-15mins.. the story started after that… there was a massive traffic jam ahead of the VIP Square.. reason being the Big Sales in almost all of the Stores at the 36 City Mall and marriages…
We got out of the auto infront of J.R. Marriage Palace and then walked to the Mall which was around 1km. As we had to shop mainly for baby clothes and few of the dresses for Angie, I suggested going to Globus first… but mom hates it when Big Bazaar says to deposit baggages in the counter. So we headed to Big Bazaar first. We had to go to the kids section, so headed to first floor but the escalator was closed cos of excess crowd.. but then the security guys turned it on and I was so very much grateful to them.

Christmas Shopping

December 10th, 2007

Just came back from Christmas Shopping which was done at 36 City Mall, mainly at Globus though. In this post I had mentioned that I would like to shop for Christmas at the mall.

Mom bought me a Salwar Suit which costed Rs. 2k+. Its a short kurtee, with churidar salwar and frilly chunari. She wanted to buy a couple of suits more but I told her to get them some other time…

Tried a couple of jackets, jerkins there.. but the M and L sizes did’nt fit me and the XL size also was kinda tight… seems they have some different kind of measuring tapes @ their factory.

Bought a couple of sweaters n bootys for Shikha (my lil niece) from there.

Then went to Big Bazaar to buy some winter wear for Shikha.

In all.. me really enjoyed shopping there.. and if you guys ever come to Raipur make sure you visit the mall and shop @ Globus.

Visited 36 City Mall..

August 27th, 2007

36 City MallThe mall, 36 City Mall was inaugurated by Chhattisgarh’s CM on 16th August. Visited it today evening with my mum and elder brother. It’s situated in NH-5 and is the first mall in Chhattisgarh. It boasts of many brands like Big Bazaar, INOX, Globus, John Players, Wills Lifestyle Store, Koutons, Hakoba, McDonalds, Westside etc etc..

Though till now only 40-50% of the showrooms have opened. We visited Globus, Big Bazaar, Hakoba etc… we mostly did window shopping… though I absolutely loved Big Bazaar and Globus showrooms. Have already told mom that my Christmas shopping is going to take place there :D

I longed to visit McDonalds and Westside, but they are not open as yet.
